Themed Thursday

KD over at Southern Whimsy is having her second showing of "Themed Thursday". Last week's "Blue Transferware" theme was a great success! This week, her theme is "Furry Friends Real and Faux". HOW FUN!!

Now, for those of you who don't know me (most of you), dear, sweet hubby and I just built a new house after living in our "starter home" for 20 years. We have been in the house for just a little over a year, and still have TONS of work to do on it. One of the main things left to do is DECORATE. SO, I don't have much in the way of "decor" in my house, much less, things that would be considered "Furry Friends". BUT, I will post a couple of the "furry" things that I do have.

The first thing I have is this FANTASTIC leopard print chair.

I found this chair at a local discount furniture store and INSTANTLY fell in love with it! It was so cheap and SO comfortable! And surprisingly, it matches my bedroom perfectly! (I had the chair in the room before anything else)

And the only other "Furry Friends" I have in this house (so far) are these:

Meet Racooney, Puppy, Penguiney, and Scamper (I know, such original names).
These are my son's absolute BESTEST FRIENDS EVER! (his words)
These furry friends are a constant presence in our home. Wherever my son is, the group follows. Jameson's most favorite is Puppy. His sister gave it to him when he was very young and he never goes anywhere without him.

Soon, we will be adding a new member to our family....

(not actual deer head....but one almost identical)

I'm still trying to find a closet wall big enough for him.

What "Furry Friends" do you have in your home?

  4. Love, love, love that chair! What a great find. Your son's stuffed critters are so cute, I still have the majority of our daughter's collection, at least the ones that didn't go off to college with her! Nice to meet you. Kathy
