Awwwww! They do grow up entirely too fast. My oldest baby is 25 already! But my youngest is only 7 so I'm still able to enjoy the sweetness of that age, too. :) All I can say is enjoy every moment. No matter what age they are, you'll never get those moments back again. :)
He's such a doll. And they do grow up too fast. Just watched Cait perform her last concert at UNT. She will be student teaching next semester and graduating in May. I swear it seems like just yesterday she came home from school in the 5th grade telling us she wanted to be in band! Enjoy every precious minute. Hugs, Kathy
Everyone is right...enjoy every moment with them. My son Chris (only child) is going off to college next fall, and Im going to miss him terribly. I'll have to join an "empty nest" group. :)
I am a small-town, Southern gal. I have been married to the love of my life for 24 years, and have four wonderful kids...a 21 y.o. daughter and a 10 y.o. son, and also a son and a daughter already in Heaven. We are members of The Church of Christ and are trying to raise our children to be faithful followers of Christ. I am a phone triage nurse for a busy OB/GYN office near Atlanta, but spend most of my time at home in Alabama with my family. We have just built a house after living in our "starter home" for twenty years. We did a lot of the work ourselves, and still have a TON of work to do.
I love to be "crafty", but am often guilty of buying all of the supplies to make something, and just never finishing it. "Not finishing things" seems to be a theme with me, hence the word "Slacker" in my blog title. I am hoping this little blog will motivate me to complete the tasks I've started!
