Sometimes it pays to be an "Early Bird!"

Last Thursday, I had planned to spend the entire day cleaning and doing laundry (you know, my two most favorite things in the world to do), but before I got up and moving, I decided to try to catch up on the lives of all my wonderful bloggie buddies.

I was tickled to see that one of my "aspire to" bloggie buddies had a new post up, Kim with Endless Possibilities. If you've never visited Kim's blog, she is just adorable! She's has her hands full as a mom to 4 small children AND creates the cutest, most precious wall art. I have drooled over her art forever, but have never actually placed an order. Well, early Thursday morning, she just happened to have an extra "S" and "J" on hand, and was selling them for a huge discount. I was fortunate enough to snag the "J", minutes before somebody else logged in!
(Sorry JFamily!)

Well, after a long and stressful day at the insane asylum office, I came home to a HUGE surprise...

A cute little package from Small Words!

I remembered several months ago, Kim did a blog post about the importance of beautiful, creative packaging, and boy did she ever get that right!

Before I even opened the box, I knew what to expect!

Once I opened the box, I was greeted with the most adorable hand-tied, and hand-signed "Thank You" note.

THEN, wiping the drool from my mouth as I type this, I was treated to a one-of-a-kind piece of Kim Wheeler art!

WOOOO HOOOOOO!

Look at the incredible way this is packaged. The cellophane, the hand-tied ribbons, the note card.....Just adorable! You wouldn't even have to wrap this if you were giving one as a gift.

I think I will be keeping mine, thankyouverymuch!

Look at the heavy-duty hanger on the back. This puppy isn't going anywhere!

And look at this special touch....the small red dots are actually shimmering crystals.

I couldn't decide where I wanted to put it, because I wanted it to be "on it's own". Then, I found the perfect spot for it....

PERFECT!

But now that I look at it, I may move it to the actual door that goes into his room. That way, when his door is even the slightest bit closed, I will be able to see it from the living room.

HMMMMMMMMMMM.....decisions, decisions......

So, if any of y'all are in the market from some incredibly adorable wall art, head on over to Kim's site, Small Words and have a looksie. You will not be disappointed!

***EDITED***

After Jameson got home, HE decided he wanted it on his room door, not his closet door. He said he wanted everybody to be able to see it!

---------------------------------------

In the spirit of "Blog with Integrity", I am letting you know that I was not paid for this post, nor was I given this art in exchange for advertising. I have loved Kim's creations since the first time I saw it, and I am a HUGE fan of her talent. I am giving my honest opinion of something that I purchased with my own money.

---------------------------------------

And in other news.....my sick little man finally felt good enough to go back to school today!

YIPEE!

He's still got an occasional, horrible cough, and is still breathing a little bit fast, but he was rarin' to go this morning.

I pray that he will always be this excited to go to school!

I hope you all have a great week!!

  5. robin, i am loving the true blood books. they are so off the beaten reading path for me, but i cannot put them down, i am literally making myself stop reading at 2am! i have 7--they came in a package from amazon and i am on #7 right now. i saw #9, in hardback, at the market the other day but didn't buy it because i don't want to read it before i read #8, which i hope to get on sunday when i can get to a barnes and noble in seattle (we're in such a small town we don't even have a book store and have to go into seattle for anything.)

do you watch true blood? that is how i came to read the books. that and my 14 year old niece who was visiting us for 10 days this summer, from las vegas, and made me read the twilight series before we took her over to forks to see all things twilight. she may have made me read the first one, but i loved them and they certainly turned me into a vampire groupie :)

i love the "j". i would love to get a "z" for my youngest son to hang in his music room at his house.
