Well, you know, I have been completely honest and forthcoming with all of you about what a "slacker" I am. I mean, my blog name is Alabama SLACKER Mama for goodness sakes. But, I am really embarrassed that it has taken me TWO weeks to acknowledge an award and two tags.
I hope you will forgive me!!
First, Debbie at "Dining with Debbie" tagged me with the "Honest Scrap" award.
I hope you will forgive me!!
First, Debbie at "Dining with Debbie" tagged me with the "Honest Scrap" award.
I was COMPLETELY shocked when Debbie honored me with this award! Thank you so much Debbie! You have no idea how much it means to me!
I love Debbie's blog, and I love her Crock Pot Wednesdays even more! I WISH I could participate more, but I really don't cook too many "unusual" things in my crock pot. Normally it's just boring roast and vegetables or beans. That's why I love Debbie's Crock Pot Wednesdays.....I get such FANTASTIC ideas! I highly recommend checking out her blog for wonderful meal ideas!
Now, to pass this award along. Here are the rules:
1) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
2) Tell those 7 people they've been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving.
3) Share "10 Honest Things" about myself.
4) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
5 )Tell those 7 people they've been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving.
Here are the 7 blogs that I want to give the Honest Scrap award to:
1. Lou Cinda from Tattered Hydrangeas.
2. Marla from Always Nesting
3. Kim from Live from the 205
4. Marty from A Stroll Thru Life
5. Sue at Our Really Empty Nest
6. Lisa from Living Upward
7. Tracie from My Latest Tale of Many Cities
and one extra
8. Suzanne at Southern Inspiration
I hope you realize how hard this was for me. I LOVE ALL of my bloggie buddies!! SO, go click on each and every one of them and prepare to be amazed!!!
OK, before I reveal "10 Honest Things" about myself, I would like to mention two other tags I received in the past two weeks:
Heather from "Our Texas Adventure" and Shannon from "Yes I make this all up", tagged me to reveal "8 Random Things" about myself . I have LOVED getting to know these two ladies over the past couple of months. Even though we live completely different lives, we have figured out we really have a lot in common! They are HYSTERICAL and really make my day. Go check out their blogs!
So, being the "Slacker" that I am, I am going to combine my Honest/Random facts about myself...lol!
1) I met my husband through my ex-boyfriend. Marty was my ex's best friend. (I actually broke up with my ex to start dating Marty)
2) My mother is my very best friend. I would rather be with her than anyone else.
3) I hate talking on the telephone, which is pretty ironic considering I talk on the phone for a living.
4) I am a HUGGER. If I see you in person, you will get a hug from me. I got that from my mother's family who are huggers too. It REALLY freaked Marty out when we first started dating to have all of these strangers hugging on him. That's why I sign all of my comments {{HUGS}} too!
5. The older I get, the more agoraphobic I get. I could be completely happy not leaving the house for weeks at a time.
6. Being in huge crowds freak. me. out. (See number 5) When I go somewhere new, especially where there will be crowds, I go into full-fledged panic mode. When going somewhere new, I really, really, really want someone who has been there before to go with me to show me the ropes. The fear is so bad, I almost didn't take Chelsea to her "Best Day Ever" trip because I had never been to that venue before.
7) I am not a great house cleaner. I mean, my house is clean, but it's not neat....ever. My last house was so bad, I NEVER invited people over. I am DETERMINED not to let this house get this way.
8) If I could do anything I wanted to in the world, I would be a full-time stay at home mom, and have another baby. However, that money tree just isn't growing well!
9) I HATE confrontation and I try to avoid it at all costs! It is so bad, that I can't call any "NO's" while at work. Fortunately, I have great co-workers who will do my dirty work for me. Yesterday, a loud, verbal disagreement started in my office between two of my co-workers. I couldn't get out of the office (door was blocked by one of those in the disagreement). I literally wanted to crawl under the desk!
10) I am closer to some of my blog/Internet friends than I am to my own family!
Well, since it gave me so much anxiety to choose all of the blogs above, I am going to open up this tag to all of you!
Tell me one super-crazy, random, honest fact about yourself!
I can't wait to read your comments....I'm sure they will be very entertaining!
thanks so much for thinking of me, Robin! i'll get my response up asap.
ReplyDeletebtw.. in case i haven't mentioned it lately.. you ROCK! agoraphobic or not! ;)
continued blessings,
-Tracie
Great list! I hate the telephone and have battled agoraphobia too. Sometimes I get "sick" and can't go to a planned event. And I would never tell anyone that.
ReplyDeleteRobin! Thank you! I love awards and I will try and respond ASAP!
ReplyDeleteWhat is one honest thing about me!
Sometimes I cuss too much!! But usually only when I am at work, and not any REALLY bad ones! lol
Don't tell anyone!!
Lou Cinda :)
I just have to say I about had a heart attack when I read your post title.
ReplyDeleteThanks for tagging me. I will try to find something interesting about me so I can get a post up. I loved all of yours. I'm a hugger too and thus my Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteReally Frugal, it's amazing how often we get "sick" too!
ReplyDeleteKBeau, I didn't even think about "that" meaning until after I made the post...lol!
Crazy fact hmm....
ReplyDeleteAfter 3 years of marriage, I still don't know what to call my inlaws! Mom/Dad? Mr.Mrs.Miller? David/Lynn? It all seems weird! I always refer to them as Lance's parents, lol.
Robin, Thanks so much for tagging me, I like winning awards, lol. Hmmm one thing about me.... when I go to the doctors office for a check-up, I refuse to be weighed. I know I am big, and dont see any reason to have it written down in my chart, it's sad but true. I will get my list together and let you know. Sue
ReplyDeletei'll happily help you with your house!!! we can do a lot over the internet! :D
ReplyDeleteOkay Robin, I have the worst honest thing! Oh No!! It's not THAT bad really! And I have chatted with God about it ALOT!
ReplyDeleteIt's my only vice, don't smoke, drink, lust, you get the drill!
He is giving me some slack on this, but He wants me to quit!
Lou Cinda
And it's not the BAD ones! LOL
