I am a die-hard fan of the twilight series. I have read ALL of the books ( back to back because I couldnt stop) I saw twilight ( rented it) when it came out and was SO unbelievably disappointed it was NOTHING like the book. I debated not going to see New Moon, but everyone that went had great things to say about it so I caved...my husband took me this weekend and I have to tell you I LOVED it. everything about it was better, it was relativly close to the book and no big things were cut out. So for those of you who are on the fence about going....GO....
The books are good. The writing isn't fantastic or anything, but the story is compelling. The movie sucked. Haven't seen the 2nd one yet, but I'm sure I will since my daughter is a fanatic!
The first book was the best one I think. But I only got through the first 3 1/2 books. For some reason I just could not finish the 3rd book; and never read the 4th. Maybe I should?
Ahhhhh, prepare to become a Twihard! :) The first book is the best as far as I'm concerned, too. The movie means nothing if you haven't read the book though. Too many things they just couldn't translate to film. Second movie MUCH better. And remember...you must choose a team. Edward or Jacob? Which will it be? ;)
I am a small-town, Southern gal. I have been married to the love of my life for 24 years, and have four wonderful kids...a 21 y.o. daughter and a 10 y.o. son, and also a son and a daughter already in Heaven. We are members of The Church of Christ and are trying to raise our children to be faithful followers of Christ. I am a phone triage nurse for a busy OB/GYN office near Atlanta, but spend most of my time at home in Alabama with my family. We have just built a house after living in our "starter home" for twenty years. We did a lot of the work ourselves, and still have a TON of work to do.
I love to be "crafty", but am often guilty of buying all of the supplies to make something, and just never finishing it. "Not finishing things" seems to be a theme with me, hence the word "Slacker" in my blog title. I am hoping this little blog will motivate me to complete the tasks I've started!
Of course! I mean, somebody HAD to do it.....so the rest of us would know!!
ReplyDeleteBe sure and let us know!!
