I'm telling you, this is one of the best inventions ever!
A couple of weeks ago, I went into a co-workers office and saw the most unusual contraptions.
A couple of weeks ago, I went into a co-workers office and saw the most unusual contraptions.
I looked at it for a couple of days (from a distance), and just couldn't quit figure out WHY you would want a cover over your lit candle.
I mean, wouldn't that be some sort of fire hazard?
So finally, I asked her about it and she said "Oh, it's a light that melts the candle so you don't have to have an open flame."
WHAT?
The light is coming from the "contraption", NOT from the candle!
The special light bulb (similar to the bulbs in overhead cooktop vent hoods), gets hot enough to melt the candle, allowing it to dispense it's smell, without the danger of having an open flame. The outside of the light remains cool enough to touch, as does the outside of the candle.
BRILLIANT!
She told me that she received it as a Christmas gift and was told that they came from Hobby Lobby.
YES! I have a Hobby Lobby gift card just burning a hole in my pocket!
So, after I picked little man up from school, we headed out to Hobby Lobby.
I was immediately able to find it smack-dab in the middle of the candle isle.
BUT, it was $24.99....a little steep without a 40% off coupon (which wasn't offered through Hobby Lobby this week).
HOWEVER, as luck would have it, it was 50% off this week!!
EVEN BETTER!
So, for $12.50, I was able to get this little gem!

And the BEST news was, I had a $20.00 gift card, so that allowed me to get a few little "extra" things too!
So, if you are like me, and worry about having open flames in your house, this is a great product for you!
Now I have decided that all of my jar candles look "BLAH", so I need to head out and get some more!
I think this thing may have created a monster!

Nice, but I have to stick with the Scentsy system, for some strange reason.

LOL Kathy, I do understand your need for Scentsy! And I hope you don't think this is taking the place of my wonderful, fantastic, scentsy that some very special person sent me for Christmas! ;o) XXOOXX The Scentsy is prominently displayed in my kitchen for EVERYONE to see!

Robin, that is so neat! I have those "why didn't I think of that" moments so often. People come up with such simple ideas and make a lot of money off of them. I enjoy reading your "take" on things in life You have a wonderful sense of joy in your writing. laurie
ReplyDeleteIf there was a Hobby Lobby anywhere near me, I'd probably have one of those too Robin. LOL
