Class of 2021

Just two short days ago, my little man "graduated" kindergarten.

It was such a bittersweet moment for me. On one hand, I am thrilled that he is growing up to be such a smart, loving, handsome young man, but on the other hand....

DANG! He's my baby!!

I'm never going to have another baby to carry to the "first day of school", assuring him that everything was going to be GREAT, and then crying my eyes out until I finally see his smiling face again at the end of the school day. I'm never going to have to answer that question "You mean I have to go EVERY day?". I'm never going to hear the question "What do you mean I have to finish ALL this homework before I go out to play?"

Sometimes, I wish I could just keep him little forever.

But since I can't, I will just try to enjoy every little second, every small accomplishment, and even every little heartbreak.

Being a parent is HARD!

So, today I wanted to try to document his first year of school. Starting with his first day, and ending with his graduation.

I hope you enjoy!

Jameson's first day of school.

Jameson's first football game.

Jameson's sixth birthday party.

International Day at school.

Jameson in the Homecoming parade.

Halloween.

Jameson and his buddy Jerry Ray at the Football banquet.

Christmas.

Valentine's Day.

Jameson's first "real" snow.

Saint Patrick's Day.

Easter.

First fishing trip of the year.

Jameson and Hermie Sadler at the Spring Talladega race.

Jameson and Javon at the Kindergarten Luau.

Jameson and Gracie at the end-of-school-year Field Day

Now on to graduation day!

The morning didn't start off too well. Jameson was NOT happy that he had to get up an hour earlier than usual!

Here is my little man, all dressed up!

Here he is, walking across the stage to get his "diploma".

"See Mama, I got it!"

Gracie and Jameson.

Jameson and Jerry Ray.

This is my favorite picture of the day!

Jameson's two favorite gals....Alyssia and Gracie.

Jameson and his other favorite gal, Chelsea.

Jameson and his two best buds, Javon and Isaiah.

Jameson and Gracie.

Jameson and his daddy.

Jameson and his wonderful teacher, Mrs. Mayfield!

After graduation, Jameson was invited to the movies by Gracie's mom and some of her friends. We went to see "Night at the Museum 2". It was so good!

Here is Jameson and Gracie playing around after the movies.

MaKenzie, Madison, Gracie and Jameson.

Madison, Gracie, and Makenzie....aren't they the cutest?

And finally, here is my little man!

Jameson, I am so proud of you and the big boy that you have become! I love you more than anything in this world!

Congratulations to the Class of 2021 and I can't wait to see what the next 12 years hold!

  5. Girlfriend, you made me cry. I get to see my middle daughter graduate from college in a couple of weeks. It REALLY was just yesterday that she was in kindergarten and cute as a button like your sweet Jameson.

  6. Robin, this is so sweet. Your little man is just adorable. I love all of the pictures, but the ones with his sister really touch my heart - they obviously are very close, and Chelsea looks so proud and protective. Keep him close while you can, they grow up so amazingly fast. Cait will graduate from college in a year, and it seems like just yesterday she was starting kindergarten. Great, sweet, touching post. Hugs, Kathy
