I am SO glad I'm married!

Last night, as hubby and I were enjoying our final moments of our vacation, we came across a little gem on the television called....

"The Conveyor Belt of Love"

Interesting little title.....what in the world could it be about?

From ABC.com:

In this hilarious and fast-paced one-hour special, one by one the 30 men are presented on the Conveyor Belt of Love to the five women and given 60 seconds to impress them. If a woman is interested in someone, that man will step aside and wait as the rest of the men go by. But if another man comes by on the belt who seems better than that woman's first choice, she can swap out the man waiting off of the belt as many times as she wants until the last man has passed by. If two or more of the women are interested in the same man, the tables turn and the man on the conveyor belt gets to choose which one he would like to wait for. After all 30 men have made it through the Conveyor Belt of Love, each woman is left with her final choice as she embarks on a date in the hope of finding a true connection.

HUH?

You mean the men come out on an actual CONVEYOR BELT?

Like an I-LOVE-LUCY-TYPE-CONVEYOR-BELT?

This has GOT to be interesting!

Well, hubby had decided it was time to end his most wonderful vacation, and go to bed....missing all of the hilarity and excitement.

Such a fuddy-duddy.

I on the other hand, just had to watch.....

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

This show is BAD!

Really, REALLY BAD!

So bad in fact, about 7 minutes into the show, I literally had a stomach ache...

One of those stomach aches when you want to cover your eyes and just peek through your fingers because you know something shameful and embarrassing is coming any second....

Yeah, like that kind.

But, it was so bad that I just couldn't stop watching.

Like a bad car wreck.....you know you shouldn't look, but you just have to look.

Let me just say, it did NOT get any better and now I am ending my most perfect, wonderful vacation ever with a stomach ache.

If dating has come to this, I pray I am married for 1000 more years!

(Thanks to Kim for the idea for this blog post! LOVE YA!)

  4. We just watched that too....awesomely awkward. I love a ridiculously inane reality show just to laugh at every now and then...just what the doctor ordered to chill out!

  6. If anything ever happens to my hubby and I'm no longer married, well, I just could not face one single day of dating. Never, ever. It was stressful enough when I was young, I can't even imagine now that I'm an old :) grandma. Reality shows never show older people dating, do they?

  9. Are you kidding me? I've never heard of this show, but it does sound awful. I would rather be the crazy cat lady than to have to date again. Guess DH is stuck with me for at least another 29 years lol. Kathy

  10. Never heard of it, but glad I didn't stumble across it while flipping channels. I DETEST most reality shows anyway. I have enough reality to contend with in my daily life! :)
