Does your hair need a little help? Tell me for a chance to win a $1,000 Spafinder gift certificate!

Almost a year ago, I bit the bullet and decided to get my hair cut, colored and styled (after waiting almost a year).  I've used this particular salon for a while, but never the stylist I had on this day.  I knew there was a problem when she was rinsing the color out of my hair and she said "Uh Oh".

NEVER a good sign at the hair salon.

She added a toner and kept pushing for me to buy some sort-of expensive conditioning products.  I refused because I thought she was just trying to sell me something.  When I get home, I notice my hair color is weird.  She left the color on waaaay too long, turning my hair WHITE and then added a toner to try to "fix" it.  What she really did is FRY my {previously healthy} hair!

For months,  every time I would wash, brush, or touch my hair, huge pieces would break off.  I was SO upset!  It was so frizzy, the only way I could make it stay down was to use tons of product and flat-iron my hair into submission.  That added heat didn't help at all!   In all the years I've had perms and/or color, my hair has never been in this bad condition.  It freaked me out so bad, I didn't do anything to my hair for 6 months.  I finally decided I needed to have something done for Chelsea's graduation.  I didn't want to show up looking like Pepe' le Pew.

This time, the stylist (a different one) did a pretty good job, but the color still did some damage to the already damaged parts of my hair.  I kept trying "expensive" shampoos and conditioners hoping they would help, but nothing was working.  I just decided that the damaged parts of my hair would just have to grow out and then I would cross my fingers and try again.  Well, that's all changed now.

Dove has asked several bloggers to try their new line of advanced conditioners.  Dove advanced conditioners provide nourishment to repair dry and frizzy hair.  These conditioners use a Fiber Active technology that penetrates deep inside the hair strand, helping to rebind damaged proteins.  I jumped at the chance because my hair needs HELP!

I was sent the Dove Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner to try.

The bottle is really straight, the photographer is crooked.  HAHA

The first thing I noticed was the texture of the conditioner.  It was very thick.  I worried that it wouldn't cover very well, but I was able to easily work it though my my hair.  I left it in for the recommended amount of time, and rinsed it out without much effort.  It also smelled really good!  This is great, but did it actually help my hair?

I dried and styled my hair has normal, anxious to see I could notice any difference.  OH.MY.WORD.  Where has this product been?  After ONE use, my hair was visibly smoother.  ONE use!  It wasn't 100% back to normal, but I could absolutely tell a difference.

I've been using this for almost two weeks now and I'm still in love.  My hair is really soft and looks smooth without even using the flat iron.  I have zero tangles, and my hair actually has some body for the first time in forever.  I can't keep my hands out of it.  My hair also smells really, really good!

These photos are after only one week of use:

This is right after blow drying and before brushing.  See how much body my hair has?  How many moisturizing/repairing conditioners can do that?  Most conditioners of this type often leave hair flat and greasy.

This is after a couple of swipes with the flat iron.  It is SO soft to the touch and very smooth!  For the first time in over a year, I LOVE my hair again!

Oh, and the best part....It's inexpensive!  For around $5.00 (or less), your hair can look and feel healthy again!
