I'm sinking in a sea of vinyl!

Hey friends!  Yeah, I know. I'm probably just here talking to myself by now.  I know I've been a horrible blogger and I'm really sorry!  I just can't seem to find a good balance between family, Blueberry Hill, work, and this blog.  Heck, I can't even find a balance between my family and Blueberry Hill.  HAHA!

I am thrilled that I've been asked to make t-shirts and window decals to help support one of the the most precious little girls ever!

Miss Ava has NKH (Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia; Go here for information.) It's a HORRIBLE disease with no known cure.  Miss Ava's incredible mom, Nina, is doing everything she can to raise awareness for NKH and NKH research.  I am so honored they asked me to help!

I've been working on this project for weeks, but I finally was able to finish some shirts this weekend.  I am so exited about how they turned out!

And these are just part of the things I've been working on this week!  I've cut so much vinyl, I've used an entire 60ft roll just this week alone!  There are literally bags of weeded vinyl all over the place!

HELP! My life has been taken over by SHIRTS!

Hey friends!  I hope y'all have had a wonderful weekend (and Monday, too!)

Lately, my life has been just a random jumble of craziness!  Not only was last week the first week of school, I've also been slammed with t-shirt orders.  I'm not sure of the exact number, but I've made at least 90 shirts over the past week-and-a-half!  Talk about t-shirt overload!  Thankfully, my fabulous husband has been learning to master the heat press, so my back and shoulders have been spared.  I definitely would not be able to do it without him.  Maybe one day I'll be able to afford one of those "fancy" automatic presses that press and release on it's own, but I will have to sell a WHOLE LOT of t-shirts to be able to afford something like that. HAHA!

I haven't been slacking, I've been working!

Hey friends!  Long time, no talk too!

Yeah, so I only manged to get in one itty-bitty blog post last week.  So much for the whole "trying to better thing", right?  Oh well, hopefully y'all are still here, supporting all my laziness.  Thank you to all of you who have stood by me through my random postings!

Baseball/T-ball season is in full swing around here and that means everyone wants t-shirts! So, I've been working on orders like crazy, trying to finish everything on my list so I can have a clean slate going into baseball shirt season.  LOL  Here are a few things I've been working on:

This is for a wedding gift:

These two shirts are for a dear old friend (not in age, but in years we've known each other...lol) and her daughter.  I think they turned out really cute.

Split letter monogram on gold cardstock.  The gold is SO pretty! I definitely want to use this again!

These next two monograms are for a precious lady from California who saw these here on the blog!  Lacy has been awesome to work with and I am so happy with how these came together!

I just had to make something for myself.  I think this is hysterical!  Who doesn't love Grumpy Kitty?

And to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Jameson just HAD to design his own shirt.  So, here we go.  Si, a leprechaun hat, gold, and a Duck Dynasty logo.  What more do you need?

Jameson said the shirt was "exactly like he saw it in his mind."  Well alrighty then.  LOL

I also have another monogram that I absolutely love, but it's for a special couple who are having a wedding shower this weekend.  The groom's mother asked me to make one for them as a surprise!

Who knew an anniversary/birthday gift could be so useful?

Twenty-four years ago, when Marty and I decided to get married 5 days before my birthday, I really didn't think anything about it.  Of course, now I realize having an anniversary around the same time as your birthday is almost the same as having a birthday near Christmas.  You may as well combine them both together, right?

Ummmm, yeah, right.

Anyway, this year my anniversary/birthday present didn't come in a cute little box....it came in a big, giant, Fed-Ex delivered box!  This is my gift:

For those of you who don't know what it is, this is a heat press.  A heat press is basically a huge panini press or steam press, without the steam.  In my case, it will be used to apply vinyl to t-shirts (and possibly will now be my go-to iron when I need to get wrinkles out).  It came last week, but I've been just too intimidated to try it out.  Well last night I decided it was time to plug her up and try her out!

I don't know why I was so worried!  Once I figured out the super-simple controls, it was easy!  I already cut the vinyl for several shirts earlier in the day.  Once the heat press was hot enough, I went to work!

I made this Alabama houndstooth elephant shirt for my sister.  Her birthday was Tuesday and I wanted to make her something a little extra to go with her gift!  It is a couple of days late, but I hope she will like it!

This is a Creeper from the game Minecraft.  Jameson is obsessed with Minecraft, so I thought he might like this shirt.  Thank goodness he did.

 

Now this is my absolute favorite shirt.  When I first started talking about making shirts, Jameson he said he wanted me to make him one.  He kept trying to describe what he wanted, and finally I told him to just draw it for me.  I took his drawing and turned it into a pattern.

Everything in Minecraft is made of squares.  LOL

I am SO upset because once I finally finished the shirt, I couldn't find his drawing.  I had it sitting on the table right next to my computer and now it's gone. I am afraid that it fell off the table, into the trash basket sitting right next to the table.  :(  I have checked every single slip of paper in the living room, kitchen, and dining/craft room and it's not there.  I really wanted to be able to keep the shirt and drawing together after Jameson is done wearing the shirt.  I've got to get better organized!

Anyway, Jameson loved the shirt and even likes it enough to wear it to school today!  I guess I did something right!  LOL

I also made a couple of really cute political shirts, but since I don't like controversy, I won't post those here.  LOL 

Earlier in the week, I got an order for FIFTEEN shirts for an Air Force basic training graduation.  I am so glad I've got the heat press up and running because this job is going to take a while to complete!
