Hey friends!  It's FRIDAY!

I cannot believe it's already November!  Where has the time gone?  This year is FLYING by at a record pace!  I don't even feel like I got to enjoy the Halloween season.  I blinked my eyes and it was over.  I hope Thanksgiving and Christmas last a little longer!

Speaking of Thanksgiving and Christmas, what is everyone doing about decorating?  Do you decorate for Thanksgiving or just jump straight into decorating for Christmas?  I feel like Thanksgiving just gets skipped over, but I sure would like to enjoy my Christmas decorations for a little while.

Can I just tell all of you that I am a nervous wreck about this election?  I don't talk about politics on this blog, but I will say that I cannot wait until next Wednesday.  All of this "He said this" and "He did that" has really gotten on my nerves!  I hate fighting and confrontation, so this "season" just makes me anxious.  I know we ALL need to get involved, but the things that spew from some people's mouths is just uncalled for! 

I WILL do my duty and VOTE, as will Marty and Chelsea.  I encourage everyone to use your voice and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

I'm doing my very first craft show on November 10th and I am FREAKING out!  I don't have a clue what to make, how many things to make, how to display anything...  So many questions, so little time!  I can't make the vinyl frames because they are so custom, but I will be taking orders for those.  I can't really make a lot of t-shirts either, because I wouldn't know what sizes/colors to make and would hate to be stuck with a ton of unsold merchandise.  I guess I better decide soon since I only have a WEEK to get my stuff together!  LOL

We went to the movies the other night to see Hotel Transylvania.

It was SO good!  We ALL loved it, even Chelsea!  We spent the whole evening after the movie repeating lines that we thought were funny.  We will definitely be buying the DVD when it's released.  It was so nice to see a APPROPRIATE FAMILY movie.

While we were there, we saw where Disney is making a prequel to the Wizard of Oz and the movie will be released in 2013.

Speaking of movies, I just bought Twilight/Breaking Dawn Part 2 Marathon tickets for Chelsea!

 And for those of you who don't know what a Twilight Marathon is, let me explain.  Our fabulous movie theater is showing ALL the Twilight movies in order,  immediately prior to the midnight release of Breaking Dawn Part 2.  Yes, we will get to the theater on Thursday morning around 10:00 AM, and won't be back home until around 2:30 AM Friday morning!  We did the marathon last year and had an absolute BLAST!  Chelsea made the decision that we would do the marathon this year, even before we left the theater after Breaking Dawn Part 1, last year!  Girlfriend is OBSESSED with some Twilight!  I just hate that this is the last movie.

Breaking Dawn "hangover"

Yesterday's Twilight marathon was incredible!

We spent 12 straight hours at the movie theater yesterday, and it was totally worth it!  I loved getting to see the entire Twilight saga from the beginning to end (well, almost the end) all at one time.  The die-hard Twilight fans in the audience made the atmosphere even more special!

We got to the theater around 2:00 pm (after eating a fantastic lunch) and ended up getting home around 2:30 AM.  We were worn slap out, and fell asleep the second our heads hit the pillow.  I am thankful my Mama offered to keep Jameson, and took him to school for me this morning.  However, even after a good 6 hours of sleep, I still feel like I'm running on empty.  I think I'm too old to be staying out that late.  HAHA!

I won't give anything away (unless you e-mail me and want details...lol) for all of you who haven't seen it yet, but I will say, it is the BEST of the series so far! 

Oh, and for all of you (not here, but in real life) who have laughed and made fun of me for getting so excited/involved with a silly vampire movie.....

Seeing these smiles totally made it worth it all!

A day that has been over a year in the making.

Can anybody out there figure out what I'm doing tonight?  Here is a little hint:

Yup, that's right....We are going to see the midnight premiere of "Breaking Dawn".

Not only are we going to see "Breaking Dawn", we are going to see ALL FOUR of the "Twilight" movies.  "Twilight" starts at 3:45 pm, then "New Moon", followed by "Eclipse", and then the finale at midnight of "Breaking Dawn".

It's hard to believe that just TWO short years ago, I was totally against the whole "Twilight-thing" and made fun of so many of my friends. I said I would never go see some stupid vampire movie at midnight with a whole crowd of people.  I guess never say never, huh?

The best thing about tonight is the fact that it has been planned for over a year!

On July 4th  last year, Chelsea, Shelby and I decided to go see "Eclipse", the newest movie in the "Twilight" series.  All three of us had just discovered the insane world known as "Twilight" a few months before, and we were excited to see the newest installment.  We had a great time, and we just couldn't believe that we had to wait an entire year for the next, and possibly the best, movie in the series.  That night, a plan was born.

Our local movie theater is great in that they always try to do special things for their customers.  One thing they do is offer marathons of movies that have several parts.  When the finale of "Harry Potter" was released a few months ago, they did a whole TWO DAY marathon of all the movies.  We hoped they would offer a marathon of the "Twilight" movies, too.  We decided that night (in July 2010), if they did offer a marathon, we would be there and make a whole "girls night out" out of it!

Every few weeks, Chelsea would ask me about "Breaking Dawn".  She may not be able to remember a lot of things, but this she was able to remember.  HaHa!  As the release date got closer, I paid close attention to the movie theater's Facebook page, waiting to see if they would offer the marathon.  Sure enough, they did and I immediately bought 3 tickets!

Chelsea has been so excited, that's just about all she has talked about for the past 6 weeks (other than General Hospital and Scotty McCreery)!  Every day I've had to tell her exactly how many days we have left to wait.  Well, we don't have to wait any more.  Today is the day!  The day that was planned over a year ago!

I'll be sure to let all of you know how it was.....after we wake up from our LONG (and fun) night!

Twilight Birthday Party....Mission Accomplished!

Saturday was the much-anticipated Twilight-themed 19th birthday party for this young lady:

We spent months planning every little detail for the party.  As always, there is never enough time or money to do everything you want to do, but we think it turned out pretty well.  Chelsea told me over and over "This was the best birthday party ever!", so that is ALL that matters!

Now get ready for tons of pictures!

My goal for this party was to try to be "not too stressed" and have everything but the cooking done by Friday night.  I didn't quite make that goal, as you can see by this picture I took Friday night (Saturday morning) around 1:00 am.

The banner ended up being so big, the only wall we had big enough was the living room wall....and then we had to split the banner up.  I think it turned out better this way, anyway.

I've spent this past week trying to get ready for Chelsea's Twilight-themed 19th birthday party a few days from now.

I swear, I think Twilight exploded in my dining room!  I've never seen so much black, red and silver in my life!

Hopefully it will look better by the time the party gets here!

It's party time again!

It's getting that time of year for some young lady to have a blow-out of a birthday party!

Last year, her party was fantastic and was really the first time we've entertained in our new home.

Chelsea had such a good time, she wants to do it all again this year.

She's all about "themes" and this years theme is Twilight.  She is obsessed with the movies, and more specifically, she's obsessed with the character Jacob.  So, she wanted her invitations to have Jacob on them.  I thought I would try my hand at making my own this year, and here is what I came up with...

I printed them on 5" x 7" photo paper, and I think they look pretty good in person.  Chelsea LOVES them, and I guess that's all that matters!

Even though the invitations are brown, she wants all her decorations to be black, red, white, and silver.  I've been scouring the Internet looking for ideas and have been buying a lot of decorations.  I can't wait to see it all put together.  I'll make sure to share things as I get them finished.

Do any of you have any "Twilight Party" suggestions for me?

Somebody is taking this whole "Twilight-thing" WAAAAY too serious!

Driver Crashes SUV While Fleeing Vampire (or So She Says)

(June 30) - A Colorado driver thought she spotted a vampire -- then something really went bump in the night.

The 58-year-old motorist said she crashed her car into a canal in Mesa County because she was trying to get away from a vampire.

Authorities told KKCO-TV that the driver claimed she spotted the bloodsucker while driving on a dirt road outside Fruita, Colo., on Sunday -- so she threw the car into reverse in an attempt to escape.

At around 9:25 p.m., the woman's red Chevy Blazer "traveled off the right side of the road, where it rolled into a ditch," according to a Colorado State Patrol police report.

Fortunately, the crash -- which occurred three days before the premiere of the hotly anticipated vampire-themed flick "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" -- didn't turn out to be truly bloody. The driver escaped uninjured and was reportedly picked up and driven home by her husband.

Law enforcement officials found no traces of alcohol, drugs or vampires at the scene. According to The Denver Post, the driver might have taken some medication earlier in the day.

Colorado State Trooper Heather Cobler told AOL News she hasn't received other calls about vampire sightings in Mesa County -- or vampires in general, for that matter.

"I haven't had any other reports of anything like this in that area -- or in that weekend," she said. "Nor as a state trooper have I ever been privy to a report of that nature."
 

My question is, if he looked like one of the Cullens in Twilight, WHY in the world was she running from him?
